Big data – what classify them and why Shell needs them?
As the research demonstrated Big Data is too large and too complex to be managed by traditional method of processing, however if stored and used wisely can have effect in large profit and smooth operations. The 5Vs characteristic is one of the most popular ways to classify them, which is clear way to describes structure and benefits behind Big Data: high speed and volume, complexity, and potential user can gain from correctly structured database. As Shell example showed, companies can find solution to their regular issues in complex structure of Big Data. It can also be very profitable and improve operations across all board. Therefore, Big Data become integral part of every prospering modern business and essential factor of daily procedures
